Between the years 2012-2013, SAME perfected the natural ventilation of the EW tankhouse of Spence Mining (BHP Billiton).

Through an aerodynamic redesign of the static fan we achieved a 50% improvement in natural air renewals, and through a locking of the grating floor between circuits, coupled with a system of ejectors, we doubled the homogeneity of ventilation.

As additional benefits, these solutions reduce energy consumption by 25% approx. with regard to traditional solutions, and reduces the load on the tankhouse roof, compared to solutions with axial fans.
